Going, going, almost gone...
This is Onion, showing how much she (in keeping with other goats) loves her greens. The goats spend all night inside the barn and have done so for a good month now. Unlike the sheep and alpcas, they do seem to prefer to be more enclosed at nighttime plus as they tend to browse rather than graze, there is precious little outside for them to browse on now and as such they have no need to stay out.

With the nights getting longer this now means that well over half of a 24-hour day is indoors. A few greens now and again alleviates any potential boredom and is also good for their teeth. PLUS they love them and behave impeccably as they wait for you to put some in their feed trough: ‘impeccably’ and ‘behave' not usually being words that appear in the same sentence as the word ‘goat’!!!
