Our current 'To Do' list
As promised, this is our current ‘To Do’ list – some of these are long term and will take us well into the winter months...

Relaxed at Home
  • Sort abattoir for lambs
  • Finish last faecal egg count checks of year, including fluke
  • Email Rachel at vets with cow tests and plan what they now need
  • Get cow crush into collecting area and all set up
  • Get hay racks up in collecting area field shelters
  • Sort rain collection in collecting area field shelters
  • Sort cows field shelter including ‘mucking out’ system
  • Continue to sort barn store, setting up for winter management and lambing/kidding in the spring
  • Tidy ‘lean-to’
  • Use scaffolding for goat climbing frame or ‘chuck’
  • Sort water collection/ diversion from workshop/ potting shed roofs
  • Add reporting feature to Smallholding database
  • Set up a fourth stall in barn once hay/straw reduced
  • Sort freezers ready for poultry/ lamb
  • Set up growing areas x2 in garden ready for the spring (plots already chosen)
  • Clean greenhouse
  • Prepare for arrival of fruit trees
