A new toy!!
We have somewhat spoilt ourselves and bought a 'muck truck'. It is essentially a motorized wheelbarrow and is designed to carry heavy loads and get through narrow, awkward areas. Our main reason for buying it is so we don’t have to work quite so hard moving the trugs of heavy cow muck and bales of straw and hay in our manual 2-wheeled barrow, especially through the mud! The only downside to our plan is the fact that it will potentially leave more wheel marks in the land BUT, even though it is a heavier machine, because it keeps moving and because of the tyre tread, the marks shouldn’t be quite so deep and so in theory should ‘heal’ quicker. Time will, as they say, tell.

Essentially though, life should be easier. We will also be able to use if for bringing bags of feed down from the drive and moving heavy loads such as wood or paving slabs (just had 60 delivered) and mats etc.
The skip had a capacity of eight cubic feet and will carry up to 365 kilos!! If we could fit them all on, that would be at least 14 bags of feed!!!
