A day of browsing
A while back we mentioned a part-fallen tree in the top 3-acre that was leaning over the hedge and providing some fabulous browsing for the goats. Well today David headed down with his chainsaw to make the whole thing secure and of course provide the goats with the chance to eat the bits they previously could not reach. Within seconds of the job being done, the goats were there and a very happy day ensued, so much so that at supper time they showed very little inclination to eat anything else!
Relaxed at Home
As well as providing some great additional fibre, being able to browse like this also keeps the goats from getting bored: something which can be a major consideration in the winter when grazing and browsing are usually much less on offer! It also gives us huge satisfaction to know we have been able to provide the means to give our goats such additional stimulation.
