Feeding time 'at the zoo'
With the weather being as amazing as it is, we have been feeding the goats outside for a while now. They are huge advantages to this, the main one being it gets the goats out of Jack's hair whilst she mucks them out. It is unbelievably extraordinary how often she goes for a pitchfork of poo only to have a goat neatly step into the exact spot she is trying to clear. And goats are so stubborn when it comes to being asked to move out of the way, in fact asking is pointless, as is telling, as is gently shoving...

Of course the big disadvantage to feeding them outside is being clearly illustrated in the photo: any other animals around consider it to be a 'free lunch' and so the hoards descend. Every day, the numbers of 'non-goats' joining in grows and grows and it has now got to the point where the mere sound of the feed trugg being dropped to the ground, is enough to start the crowds gathering!!! And the funny thing is that whilst the goats themselves will biff another goat who dares to try to eat from the same bowl as them, if a chicken or duck starts sharing , they go right ahead and let it… hilarious!!!
