More snow and a bitter north wind today - it felt very important to be giving all the animals their afternoon rations and so providing fuel to keep them warm through the night. With an evening of snow forecast, we shut the rhea in their shelter tonight, not really happy at the thought of them staying out and getting both wt and cold. Knowing all our stock is under cover really helps us sleep at night, when the weather is bad like this!!
And Salt: she has been given more steroids and is now on twice daily tablets in a bid to see if she can once more 'rally' but, crucially then stay like it and even show signs of improvement. We have everything possible crossed!!
