We are getting pretty muddy in places, the melting snows from the start of the month followed by increasingly wet days, have both taken their toll. We keep reminding ourselves how bad it was last winter though and how we are nowhere near as soggy. What is more, the grass length at the start of the winter was much better and as such that has helped keep the mud at bay in a great many places. The mud is worst of course in the poultry area because the birds walk, dabble, peck and scratch. The view in the photo makes it look not so bad, the view from the stable is decidedly worse.
