Selling stock
One of our two impressive young Bourbon Red turkey stags. We really do need to sell the both of them now, as well as their two half-sisters (Bronze crosses). They will hopefully make great breeding stock and are now more than ready to take up with a few wives of their own. We expect our females to start laying again in a few weeks and so need their sons to be gone, leaving Napoleon to do his duty!!
Relaxed at Home
We also need to sell our last few Muscovy ducks from last year’s hatch (apart from Orange’s girlfriend of course) and quite a few chickens too. So many of the birds we hatched last summer are now coming into lay. Yesterday we had 16 eggs and as our older birds will all be coming back into lay soon as well, we really do need to reduce those eggs numbers. Even with the dogs having 2 a day, we will still have too many!!
Critically though, we don’t want to sell any coloured egg layers - not that they taste different of course, we just like seeing them in our egg boxes!!!
