It’s been two weeks since Salt died and as we watch Pepper get bigger, stronger and more confident, our hearts break at the thought that Salt was never destined to do any of those things!! Pepper now has the roam of the house and whether through necessity or goodwill, a relationship with Nay is starting to form: they have times when they share the bed (as above) or a windowsill or even Jack's desk, never touching but tolerating each other. It’s all good progress!!
And as for kitten number three… well we have not been actively looking but do have a friend who is having a litter next month/ early April and we have sort of put our names down… Dad is a Blue and mum a Tortoiseshell so the kittens will be stunning! The dogs will be pleased if this all comes off: they adore Pepper – she perhaps doesn’t adore them back quite so enthusiastically mind you!!!
