Goat expectations
Storm Freya didn't really do its worst today. Winds were certainly high but the rain of last night petered out this morning and didn’t really return. The goats stayed inside nonetheless – no hardship there in their straw-filled, hayracks-a-plenty barn!!!
Relaxed at Home
Pregnancy wise the goats are almost half way through now and we can certainly see a rotundness about them all. Sorrel and Pebbles are both a little underweight perhaps though so we are trying to adjust the feed amount/ type to help with this. We got them both checked for worms and fluke, just in case, and fortunately both came back with very low readings!
And in even more exciting news, we have been looking at pictures of our potential new billy for the autumn. We have one booked from a friend of ours in West Devon and her kiddings have so far produced 2 potential good ones: both spotty which is what we want!!
