Fingers crossed!
Another day of weather which looked like it might want to do something more but in the end didn’t – we had some wind, some rain, some hail and quite a bit of sunshine.
Relaxed at Home
The bottom 3-acre field however is starting not to be fit for purpose so we moved the cows and alpacas into the much drier bottom 2-acre and then crossed our fingers as we wondered how long it might last with the cows in it. We don’t really want the cows to have to go back inside the barn or their winter pad but equally we don’t want the 2-acre field to deteriorate. We will assess on a daily basis and pray for good weather.
The sheep will go into this field too once we let them out of the barn (probably tomorrow) although Mrs White’s limp is still giving us massive cause for concern.
