Thinking about it?
The turkeys are starting to look like they 'might' be thinking about laying. Napoleon has been actively mating but as yet we have no eggs, just some vague interest in the nesting areas. Last year Napoleona was the first to start laying around the 20th March so we have a few days to go before she misses that deadline. With the weather as it is mind you, thoughts of young poults enjoying the spring sunshine seem a little 'off'! But then with 2 weeks of laying and then 4 for incubating needed, we are at least 6 weeks off any pitter patter of tiny feed and by then it will be May and t-shirt weather – we hope!!!
