It's a ewe lamb
As well as the excitement of collecting Chili from Exmouth today, Bressay also gave birth. We missed it due to the being on the way back with said kitten but being greeted by a clean, dry, colostrum-filled ewe lamb was actually the best way. Watching our sheep and goats give birth is magical but it is also quite stressful as you work though all the timings, and panic when you think things are taking longer than they should...
Relaxed at Home
Bressay had sensibly given birth in the field shelter, left her afterbirth in there for us to clear up and was enjoying some late afternoon fresh air by the time we found her and her gorgeous lamb.
Perfect.
