Today was a much nicer spring day after the stormy, windy and then damp weekend and as such, both Ness and Whalsay decided it was okay for them to give birth: Ness is now the proud mum of a lovely black ewe, very similar to Bressay’s except this one has a white ‘quiff’ on its head. Whalsay has given us a pair of Gulmoget twins, one male and one female. We found all three lambs with their mums when we went out first thing in the morning. So, after a mere five days, five of our ewes have lambed giving us 8 lambs: 5 ewe lambs and 3 ram lambs. Feeling massively grateful and just a little proud!!
