Mixed grazing - of the unusual kind
Today we moved the cows to the bottom 3-acre field which, after the harrowing last month, is looking really great with plenty of grass. As the rhea are in there too, we have used the shelter gates and a spare hurdle to fashion an ‘anti-cow’ entrance to the feed inside the shelter. Fingers crossed it works.
Relaxed at Home
We rather like having the rhea and cows together: this field suits them both admirably!!
Both our 2-acre fields are lovely and empty - the plan is for them to rest and fill with spring grass in time for calving!!!!
