The goats got a bit of a makeover today: we shredded a load of branches we had stored around the holding and so upgraded their woodchip 'patio' – they then proceeded to see if there was anything in it that they could eat!!!
Gotta love goats!!! Spearmint (Thyme’s calf from last year) is still quite small and we are wondering whether she will be ready to AI this summer – we cannot think so at the moment. The question then is what do we do with her??? She is a poppet and if we keep her tll next year then we end up taking five though the winter. Hmmm. Decisions for another day perhaps.
