Worming
We have just had to worm the goats due to some borderline and some high egg counts. We have decided (with Graeme the vet) to keep them in for a week so that any resistant worms won’t get chucked out on the pasture and so then go on to be picked up by the sheep or alpacas (or indeed other goats). We know we have a bit of resistance here so are trying to be as vigilant as we can.
Relaxed at Home
We weighed all the goats before worming just to make sure our doses were accurate – it was rather pleasing to see that our ‘guesses’ at their weights prevously had proved rather accurate. Fingers crossed for a good set of results when we do a drench check in a week or sos time!!!
