This is 'some' of our current to do list – some items are short-term, some are very overdue, some are long term and some need really careful thought and planning…most nights we go to bed pondering some particular problem or issue. If we’re lucky we may wake up in the morning with it solved. The best solutions are those that just come to you in the middle of something totally unrelated…. We will have to come back and check this list in a month or so (and not get too despondent to see how much of still un-ticked... Maybe...)

• Build poultry wind breaks
• Join Boer Goat Society
• Join Dexter society
• Sort hooks to hang up goat and cow troughs
• Finish setting up water collection system for pole barns
• Put guttering on barn to stop water pouring onto the land
• Set up potential winter stalls in the barn
• Get in skip to throw rubbish at back of lean-to
• Buy winter poultry feeders (with covers)
• Organize vet visit to CAE test goats and go over winter health plans
• Check and trim goat hooves
• Sort rams
• Finalise goat breeding plans
• Sort fencing at back of poultry area
• Advertise poultry for sale: this year's chicks
• Keep enjoying the sunsets…
