These pictures are not entirely believable. They were taken at around 11am this morning (we had just finished the morning rounds) after a night of torrential rain, courtesy of Storm Angus. As we write this tonight, the rain has begun again and this time is set to continue all day tomorrow and then on and off for the rest of the week. The wind has blown the rain into the field shelters, the mud is slowly taking over and yet look at these scenes: green grass and a perfect autumnal day!!! The photos do not quite fit with our memories of plodding through mud to feed the cows and sheep and trying to persuade the goats to come out of the barn cos once 'they' had plodded through the wet, a nice warm dry field shelter awaited them. And yet when we looked up, this is indeed what we saw: lucky or what???
Not sure we are going to be quite so lucky tomorrow!!!
