Today was wet, windy, cold and as we now have begun to call them: a bit of a ‘Minions Day’ (Minions being where we lived up on Bodmin Moor before coming here). We gave Mrs Brown and Lamorna our full permission NOT to give birth and indeed the Boer ladies too who are also now due (yesterday being day 145).
We made sure all barns, field shelters etc were well strawed-out and hay racks full and tried to reconcile the sight of daffodils, frogspawn and emerging buds with the mud, standing water and cold. It is spring really – isn’t it?
Skerry’s ram lamb gave us a whole lot to smile about though – what a sweetheart!!
