A LOT of weather
Today it rained!! A lot! Today we gave in and allowed the cows access to their field shelter (they were VERY grateful!). Today EVERYTHING (even the ducks and geese at one point) took shelter. The rain was indeed torrential: gutters overflowed, paddocks flooded, woodchip paths became streams and most of the water from the 4-acre and the top 3-acre fields found its way into the poultry paddock. We weren’t at all sure this wasn’t the heaviest day of rain we have had since moving here. And to think that exactly a year ago, on our first full day living at Cadbury Cottage, we were struggling in well over 30 degrees heat!!
Relaxed at Home
And this was the stunning evening view when most of the rain had gone, we had a few brief showers as night fell but tomorrow we are promised more rain AND thunder, but a bit of sunshine too.
It is great that all the animals can escape bad weather days by heading for their field shelters – shame they have to poo and wee in them and so give us more mucking out to do though….
