Pluto and Mars have now progressed from having a good run around and playing chase most days, to having a jolly good romp together. It reminded us of how Neptune and Jupiter used to play when we first got them, although at just two/two and a half months, the cria have not yet quite got to the ‘screaming’ stage yet! That part used to really freak out our then neighbours back in Cornwall – understandably – it did rather sound as though they were being murdered, or murdering each other. Pluto is still being fussy about his milk and in the last three weeks, has refused at least one feed every other day. Sometimes, we think it is because the milk cooled down too much, other times he is distracted or just not bothered. His weight gain has gone down to an average of 120g a day, from 200g. This has been matched by a drop of milk intake per week, back down to under 1100ml from a much more respectable 1300ml to 1400ml. His actual weight is now just over 17kg!
We remain unworried – he is full of energy, he grazes with the rest of the herd and he looks bright, happy and healthy. He is in fact utterly adorable!! BTW, it was a lovely sunny day, just as the good ole BBC said it would be!! Heaven!!
