Here comes the rain... again!!
Oh dear, back to the rain today with a vengeance - we had some heavy, torrential downpours that put our guttering to the test (it sort of passed).
To the ducks though, it is literally, 'water off a duck’s back...'
The good news is that we had Mike Ford Fencing here yesterday and today putting up a second field shelter in the 4-acre field and they finished work before the rains hit. With two shelters in what will once again become our winter field, this now means we can use either shelter for the sheep and alpacas and when it gets a bit muddy or wet, we can then shut one off to recover and use the other. It may also make strip grazing easier, (if we do it again next year…)
