Scary water piping
This is a picture of a good half of our ducks wondering how to get across the 'scary blue water piping' in order to come and eat their corn... and the sad thing is that most of them didn't get across and so missed out on the corn completely.
We then wondered how they might fair when it came to bedtime and coming into the stable - and guess what, we had to remove the blue piping altogether as they just were too scared to come in... the mats aren't helping either as they are also new!!!

It's the 'prey' instincts we guess: the piping was something new and unexpected in their normally safe territory and it really worried them!!! We will have to work out how to acclimatize them to it mind you as the piping in question is attached to the overflow from our big IBC tank attached to the roof guttering - and we do need it to lie on the ground here and take the excess water into the ditch!!! Thinking caps are on...
