Bellowing cows!
Today we saw sunshine, which was the first time we had in… not sure, but many, many days. It lifted all our spirits even though the land beneath our feet is still massively soggy and the mud is still threatening to take over.
Just one set of animals were less than impressed though: the cows. Trouble is that they look out over the 4-acre field and with the sun shining and blue skies above their head, they could see little point at still being inside their Woodchip Pad!!! We topped them up with lovely fresh straw and hay but they weren’t fooled. The bellowing intensified and as the photo shows, they weren’t afraid to look us straight in the face whilst they shrieked: 'let us out!!!'.
We sooo hope for a dry, cold winter and then we can grant their wish….. time will tell!!!
