Even with slight rain, it seems that both Pluto (pictured) and Mars always look like drowned rats – bless their little cottons. Pluto actually looks a little affronted here! His chin is just permanently soggy and, along with Mars, he is always covered in leaves and bits of straw and hay!!! We are now down to three feeds a day and need to be thinking of weaning him. There’s a strange reluctance to do so it must be said. Ideally we ought to get him eating a bit of hard feed before he is completely weaned so that he still gets some additional vitamins and minerals, rather than just relying on grass and hay!! Body condition wise he is in great shape and so we need to keep him that way!!!
