We have been walking the dogs around our own fields a fair bit recently, this is usually in addition to their woods walk in the mornings but some days they get two field walks and no woods. Today was the most stunning day to wander around our own land with blue skies, a slight frost and virtually no wind. We stood at the bottom of the bottom 3-acre and 'almost' got too hot in the sunshine. The bottom 3-acre is very wet and there is no way we can have any livestock back in there before next spring. The dogs don't do a huge amount of damage to the land as they have soft feet and short toenails so we are okay at the moment letting them run around down there.
They absolutely love it and it provides us with a great chance to check out the land, fencing, hedging etc as well as thoroughly enjoying it all ourselves too!!!
