Tarragon
Well, just when we thought it couldn’t get any wetter... It has we think, been raining for about 24 hours now with the occasional descent into what might be described as drizzle rather than rain, but wet nonetheless. We felt compelled to keep even the alpacas shut in today, as well as the sheep.
But, there is nothing we can do about the weather... so it’s onwards and upwards as we head towards the end of January into February, traditionally a 'drier' month (fingers crossed).
Relaxed at Home
Meanwhile, Tarragon here is sporting a blocked saliva gland. We noticed on Friday night that he has rather a large lump just under his jaw line and when the vet (Anna) came out on Saturday, she took a sample from it and filled a syringe with rather copious amounts of saliva (about 35ml in fact). There is no real reason why this should have happened and having drained it as much as possible, the hope is that it might now disappear on its own. Anna advised massaging it to try to help disperse the remaining liquid inside.
Today, the jury is still out as to whether it is smaller or not but one thing is for sure: it is not affecting Tarragon’s ability to eat, shout, run, nibble, slobber and be his usual hooligan self!!! Thank goodness!!!
