Today we’ve had more rain, a teeny bit of sunshine and a lot of grey BUT it’s warmer and although we are muddy, the water isn’t quite pouring off the fields at quite the same rate as it was. The sheep and alpacas, seen here from our bedroom window, obviously did not spend much time in their shelter last night (judging by the small amount of poo in there) so that is a good thing!!! We still have pockets of snow, usually against north facing hedges and barriers and also where it had drifted so was thicker.
Temperatures are really on the up, well above the magical 5 degrees needed for grass it grow – it would be so nice to see some fresh green – the 4 acre really has taken a battering and needs a growth spurt to get it back to what it should be!!!
