Overnight rain has allowed the mud to return!!! Not impressed!!! But we know that overall we are now on an upward trend towards drier and warmer, even if we take a few steps back at times. And that is what we need to keep reminding ourselves of!! But away from the rain, today we candled our chicken eggs that have been sat under our three broodies for the last almost-two weeks. And we have 12 out of the 13 of them fertile!! Great result!!
The photo was taken two weeks ago when we set the eggs under this broody and her 'mate' and all eight of these are fertile. The other five are under a broody in the stables and it is one of hers that is not fertile and as such has been removed from the nest!!
