We keep looking at Onion's female kid and wondering if there is any reason we shouldn't be keeping her as a potential breeding animal. Our main reason for keeping her is because we like our goats to be part of bonded pairs with a mother or daughter. So we have Sorrell and Coriander (mother and daughter) and want the same for Onion and Pebbles. We have the option of keeping Dash for Pebbles too. We really aren't sure yet but have time to work it all out. In the meantime we have been sorting names, so we have Chutney and Pickle for Onion's boys (Chutney being the black and white one) and Garlic (in honour of Garlic who we sold last year) for our lush black girl!
