Onion is still with us, no better, no worse!! We had another day of resisting drenching although David is proving more adept at keeping her calm whilst squirting these high volumes of liquid down her throat and so he, more than Jack, takes the brunt of this. We added a twin lamb drench today – this is a preparation designed to give to sheep or goats expecting twins, who cannot quite keep up with their body's demands on them. It is essentially an electrolyte and high energy drench and so ideal for Onion is her current state. She has nibbled on bits of browsing today as well - although we did find that whatever she liked this morning, was NOT her choice this afternoon!! But she has had a few leaves of willow, bramble, beech and hazel!!
Her milk has all but dried up so we are bottle feeding the kids but we feel we may need to put them outside her stall in order to stop them suckling – they won't be getting a lot but we need to try to minimize what is being asked of her body.
