Today Onion tucked into some browsings with a lot more enthusiasm than previous days and so we crossed our fingers and dared to hope we might be turning a corner! We sat and watched her eat and ten minutes later she was still going so we quietly slipped away, hoping she would just carry on filling her belly. By the end of the day we had begun to see definite signs of rumen activity – in previous days there had been the odd burp but not a lot else. We are besides ourselves with hope...
