Our beautiful calves are doing so well. Now named Peppermint (heifer) and Spearmint (bull) they spend their days hiding in the long grass, running away from their mums and trying to be brave when we approach them for a chuckle!! Parsley and Thyme are also doing well although Parsley's udder is huge as Peppermint is still not taking quite as much milk as she could be. We really ought to set up some kind of milking regime so we can take off the excess!!
Cararway and Sage are looking a little on the rotund size – they did get some hard feed in the winter but the spring grass has been so fabulous, they are now looking very well fed!! It's hard to believe that we now need to start looking for signs of Caraway having her first seasons so we can plan her AI dates...
