We took pity on the goats and let them back into the 4-acre field today, not for the grass (there is virtually none) but for the browsing, as in the last month since we shut this field off, the hedges have regrown a little – not as much as they should have done but way more than the grass for sure. The goats were truly grateful, so much so that they didn’t even appear back at the barn for their tea!!!
