One of Queenie’s (suspected) great granddaughters has managed to hatch 13 eggs from a clutch of 13! We hadn’t intended to hatch any more of our own birds but this unnamed madam, had other ideas. She had vanished and we found her a week later on a nest, by which time of course the eggs were growing!! The resulting chicks are very pretty, of course, and she, like her great grandmother, grandmother and mother before her, seems to be making an excellent mum!!!
