Since being moved into the 4-acre, the sheep have been pretty restless and noisy. We have started to give them a bit of feed in order to keep the lambs in condition and to boost the ewes as one or two are looking a tad thin. We have never weaned our lambs before now by separating them, instead they get weaned when they are either sold or taken to the abattoir but, with the poor grass, we are considering weaning them now so the ewes don’t get too out of condition!!
The other issue is that Mr Brown has become a little 'boisterous' and we really don't want NOT to be able to walk in the fields without worrying what he might be about to do!!
It's all very tricky... decisions are postponed for another day or two!!
