Yesterday Hedgerow Broody hatched out her two turkey poults. This is our last hatching of 2018 and we are amazed to report that we have had over 150 birds hatch out in total across all four species (chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys).
We have had a lot of success and some notable disasters (rats killing goslings being one of the worst) but with a current stock of 120 youngsters still with us, are feeling pretty chuffed with how it has all gone.
We have started to advertise quite a few for sale now, mainly our female muscovies, although have to report that things are a little slow at the moment on the ‘buying of stock’ front… need to do a bit more of a rigorous sales pitch (when we have time)!
