In the four days since three of the kids left us for pastures new, we have had daily updates. Whilst all three have been doing really well, Fennel has been a little bit isolated and at times a tad bullied by the other two, and so a joint decision was made for her brother Chives to go and join her, so evening up the numbers.
We took him over today and it was just brilliant how quickly he and Fennel teamed back up and started doing things together. The older two Dash and Rocket were more than happy to have him back with them as well.
We all spent a very happy hour watching them munch their way around the garden and paddock, posing on the tree trunks and then heading for their stable full of freshly cut beech for their evening snacks...
We have never been so happy about seeing animals we have bred in their new home – with two human kids to play with as well as Katherine and Nick to love them, they are very lucky goats!!
