We spoke too soon back on the 9th!!! Sadly, one of the white rhea became very wobbly on her feet yesterday. We have no idea why but when we wet to see them all at corm time, she could virtually not walk at all. As soon as she tried she just sort of toppled over. Despite the risk of causing her stress, we felt we needed to bring her inside with food and water and so allow her to rest! Today she was a little better but without an obvious cause, we have no real idea what can be done, if anything. We will continue to monitor, do some research and keep everything crossed.
