Sometimes it is the little things!! Today we used our own wood to make woodchip to cover a small area outside the barn. We’d quite like the whole area to be covered but that’s a lot of woodchip and in the winter it may just all get a bit too wet… When the lean-to has been rebuilt we are going to work out how best to manage this area – we’d like not to have slabs in a way because Jack (sadly) is a bit of a slave to brushing them!! But then in the wet they are ideal both for feet and hooves. Getting the balance right between workload and ideal set-up for the animals can be quite tricky!!
Using the woodchipper on the other hand was tremendous fun!!!
