Plentiful browsing
Almost eight months after the roof of the lean-to was ripped back in the winter winds, we are finally getting the whole thing pulled down and a proper livestock shelter put in its place. And as it backs onto the hedge between our two fields, a fair amount of branches had to come down to make way for the new building. These were dragged into the 4-acre field much to the delight of the goats, sheep and alpacas who spent most of the day munching and then snoozing in the sunshine. Sunshine we might add that infact was down as ‘thick cloud’ according to the forecast, even as we looked out of the windows to see that it patently wasn’t!!
What a bonus!!
And for the goats, even better: they got to spend the night in a totally clean strawed out barn as this morning we cleaned all three stalls…SUCH spoilt animals.
