This is getting silly now – another nest of hidden eggs discovered today!! This one was ‘uncovered’ as Mike Ford Fencing took down our old fencing in the 4-acre field in preparation to put up new (once the hedges have been trimmed). Jack heard the dulcet tones of a chicken announcing she had just laid and went to investigate. There was a load of lethal barbed wire there as well. It looks as though two birds may have been nest sharing here.
It’s a good thing we don’t rely on our chickens for selling eggs...
Mind you we did find seven others today in slightly more sensible places so things are looking up...
