A soggy poultry paddock
The poultry area has become very muddy quite quickly and we are now at the stage where the feeders and drinkers are all just outside the stables, rather than distributed over the paddock. This is as much for us so we don’t have to traipse across mud as it is for the birds, and in any case we want to minimize traffic on the land generally.
The birds' paddock is always going to be the wettest as it is on the downward slope of our smallholding and we know we have two drains that we suspect simple drain underneath this patch of land rather than have pipework that takes the water to the ditches.
Still, it keeps the ducks and geese very happy!!! |
