Today we had a crazy paving day as we 'shored up' the entrance to the new barn where the cows are in order to stop water trickling in and turning to mud! It was getting a tad damp in there so we made a big effort to sort it before it got any worse. The hardest part was putting down more slabs and matching them into the existing ones when in various places the gaps weren't big enough. We ended up having to lift a fair few up and put them back down!! We also dug a trench and then put a wooden barrier in place to direct the water away. Tomorrow we have heavy rain and high winds so we will know pretty quickly if we have succeeded or not!!
And the picture is exactly one month ago - scary how much the land has changed in such a short time!!!
