A totally dry day... quite remarkable to feel the warmth of the sun and to remain dry ALL day. We moved forward with avengeance on the poultry area revamp: that of overcoming the swamp outside the stables and creating a dry pathway to the compost heap. We have raked back all the sodden woodchip, exposed more of the concrete (albeit some of it rather degraded) and are now replacing mats with slabs.
It will of course be another area for Jack to sweep but with wet winters becoming the norm, this is far better than the mud!!!!
And because a picture of mud and half built slabs isn’t that inspiring.. we giuve you Muscovies on a fence: so much better!!! (And of course it also shows we weren’t lying about the sunshine – and blue sky...)
