Our lovely dry week ended today. BUT, the poultry area held up and as we headed into a night of 40 plus mile an hour winds and heavy rain, it was such a good feeling to think that every single animal on the holding had a dry, warm shelter to go into, should they so choose... Not that the 15 or so ducks and crazy odd turkey on the stable roof did choose mind you. They just hunkered down whilst we kept our fingers crossed the winds rolled over the top of them!
