Since Queenie Bantam died last week, Mr Buff here has been somewhat quiet. It's interesting! The two of them would often snuggle up at night and despite their huge difference in size, he was always gentle when mating with her (which he often did) and never left a mark!!
So, are we imagining that he feels her loss or is he? Have we been looking for his reaction and simply seeing something that isn't there?? Chickens do form relationships and spend more time with some birds than others so (human) logic says that if a bird that is part of a group goes, they could indeed be missed!!
