Jack spent a fab afternoon with Jennie Kerwin as the two of them plus 1 other were taught all things wool by Lisa V Hutchins from Melken Jacobs when they attended one of her amazing Wool Workshops. Now, the creative germs were sadly nabbed by Jack's siblings and by-passed her completely, but although her carding skills were a tad 'rough' ('Jack, slow down' was a bit of a mantra throughout the afternoon), her needle felting skills showed some promise. So, we give you a Jacob coaster and an alpaca heart, both lying 'creatively' on a bed of carded alpaca wool. (The bits of straw add a certain something, don't you agree?) Highly recommend Lisa's workshop: she was skilled, knowledgeable and a very patient teacher. (And Jack didn't stab herself once, although did break a needle - whoops!).
