Today we gave the goats the first of the logs from yesterday's tree felling. The ivy was eaten first, then they began to strip the bark. Aside from this extra fibre being very good for their digestive systems, having the logs like this was also a great boredom buster. The goats haven't been outside in weeks because of the weather so giving them 'things to do' inside is important for their well-being.
And talking of being inside, due to the coronavirus, the whole country is now pretty much on lockdown with schools now closed as from Friday. Being able to grow/raise our own and having land we can walk on and animals to look after, puts us in a very lucky position!!!
